Same problem started with four and now about fifty! What are they and how do you fix them?

We have the same problem and contacted Best Buy - fortunately it is still under warranty. Repairman just left and is ordering a "light engine" - not really sure what this does. When we first spoke with Best Buy, they said the screen was shot and we would either get the screen replaced or a new tv. I'll let you know if the light engine works :)

I had this same problem. It is caused by a bad or in need of cleaning "Optical Block" or "Light Engine". These repairs are expensive (on the order of $1,000 dollars or so. Also beware that SONY is repairing these for free but only certain models. I got mine repaired and the Tech that came out did not match up the repair numbers so the company now wants me to pay the grand... This will solve you problem.

One yellow, one pink, and one blue spots appeared on my tv screen.

The set if projection which model here is, has arced and now each of the three picture tubes used has a tiny permanent burn mark on its screen.

That is what you are seeing, the set uses three picture tubes with screens like the old tv sets===the coating has been burnt in each, want to prove it, remove rear cover and cover any one of the three lens and that mark on one tube will go a way.

Not fixable.

I have a Blackberry Curve (8520) which is bought 2 weeks back. Suddenly today I am noticing a blue spot in the middle of the screen. I have restarted my phone twice but the spot refuses to go. How do I get...

If it is only two weeks old, I would take it back to the store....for something like that I would think they would easily replace it. Or fix it for free.

Red spot on LCD

Hi,
1) That red spot means that a pixel is stuck, actually it's very common on LCDs.
2 and 3) It usually occurs for a manufacturing issue.
4) The most of the time it doesn't mean that the whole screen is going to fail, but in my case I would take advantage of the warranty if the laptop is brand new and the warranty is still there.
Good Luck!!!

Cartridges wont align

Could be one of two things....

1 - as the person has already posted, you may have bad cartridges...when the machine does an alignment it looks for specific marks on the paper...ie..green check marks before each line etc...if the correct marks are not there you will get an alignment failure...if the green check marks are there etc then you have a different problem...

2- spot sensor on the side of carriage is not working...this is the little blue/green light that comes on during alignment. Its what reads the markings on paper so if the markings are correctly there and you still get this error then the spot sensor needs to be replaced. Simple fix that u can do. We sell the spot sensor for $15

Change cartridge (color first) before doing anything.

Casio Databank 150

If your databank is like mine (DB-35H), there is a TINY spring in a really unusual spot that you probably didn't notice that fell out. Laying the watch face down and with the back off, there is a little tiny hole in the back towards one of the corners. (sorry, already put my watch back together and didn't notice which corner.) There is a tiny (1/16" x 1/4") spring that sits upright in that hole. It must make a contact with the metal cover. I replaced my battery and when I did, a spring fell out. I looked all over the internet, then wrote Casio, who said they didn't have access to the information about where the spring went. (Doh!) I got a used DB-35H from my brother and was going to swap the innards when I noticed the spring on his. Put my spring back and it beeps! If you've lost the spring, don't know if you can fake it with tinfoil or not, but it really is a TINY spring. Good luck.

Sony WEGA 42" LCD TV

Uh Oh! blue screen of death. Your light engine has warped a little from overheating and is distorting the picture.

My suggestion to you is to get on the phone with Sony and start complaining, then keep complaining until they agree to pay for it. Even if it is out of warranty.
You may have to get the problem diagnosed by a pro before they agree to pay for it though.
Hope ya fix it!
