If that's the case I believe you better call COby so they can replace it , I think it's still under warranty that's your consumer's right.

Hope that helps.........

Because this problem needs some parts replacement, you can also take this to a repair center near you and let them fix it for you since Coby is not helping you.

    Good luck.......

I have a Mitsubishi WD-52525 television, purchased in Jan 2004, and have had various issues with the set since purchased. When the set was first purchased, it took three different deliveries to get a set...

Buy a new set - not a Mitsubishi DLP. I've repaired 3 sets at the board level.
Many, many bad capacitors on four boards, 12 hours to repair.
If a tech replaces one board, he is only fixing one of 4 bad boards and the set will soon fail again.

I purchased the TV Nov. 13, 2006. Lamp burnt out may 2, 2007. I just lost another lamp this week. I cannot afford to own this TV if I lose a lamp every year.

Actually it seems that the defective part on your TV is not the Bulb. It's going to be the ballast. This is the board in charge of sending all the energy to the lamp so it can light up. http://www.discount-merchant.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=mitsubishi+ballast/?Click=48427 It's no an expensive board, actually they're running between 60 and 80 dlls.

Programming our dish network remote control. We do not have the remote code for our new Coby MODEL: TF-TV2214

1. Turn on your TV. 2.Press & hold the TV Mode button until all Mode buttons        light up. 3.Press red power button 4.Press the UP ARROW repeatedly (about 1 press per second) until your TV turns off. 5.Press # POUND The TV Mode button will flash three        times. 6. Press the POWER button to turn the TV on and try other buttons to make sure the code works. If you want to try another code, start over from step 1.
Below is the website for the online manual which will give further instructions.
http://dishnetwork.com/downloads/pdf/user_guides_and_manuals/remotes/6_3_RemoteManual.pdf

In looking at the manual no codes are given for the Coby brand TV. If the above process does not work, you'll have to call DishNetwork for further assistance. It may be that the remote will not work for your TV.

Sounds like you need to replace your lamp and the tv will work fine until the new lamp goes out. I have had three lamps since Nov 2006 in mine and I have a notice coming up on my Panasonic saying I need to change the lamp right now. Which is strange, because before there was no warning, it worked fine and then when we went to turn it on again, it just did not work until the lamp was replaced.

Remote code for Coby TV/DVD

If you are a DirecTV or Cox subscriber, you may sync a universal remote to your television using code 1548 or 11548.

These codes are for use with the following Coby television models:
TFTV1022, TFTV1212, TFTV1513, TFTV1514, TFTV1524, TFTV1913, TFTV1923, TFTV2214, TFTV2224, TFTV2617, TFTV3217, TFTV3717, TFTV4717

If the codes do not work, or if you are not a DirecTV or Cox customer, the universal remote control manufacturer is responsible for creating and embedding a Coby-compatible code in the remote control. Please contact your cable carrier or the universal remote control manufacturer for assistance.
