Dishwasher will not start. when dial is moved i hear a nonise but it does not start

It sounds as if your motor may have locked. Remove the lower service plate, visually inspect the motor and housing. Try to start the washer, while looking at the motor. If there is no motor movement, Turn off washer, and try to free the impellor. More than likely it is stuck and needs a little help turning
