Dark spots on screen on DLP when screen is white

What size are the spots?
If they are 1 pixel in size you have stuck DLP mirrors.
If they are larger not symmetrical then it's most likely dust blobs in the optics near the focal point (on the DLP chip glass window)

Spots along left side of page. On every printed page there are black spots along left side.

something on the fuser... is it the same distance from each spot every time?... then something is on the fuser roller, so it gets fused every time it rolls over that spot. thats my guess

Vp800 LCD Projector has dark blob on display.

blow out any dust with canned air. chances are there is an object blocking the image. or there is a crack or burn spot on the 2nd fly-eye lens (diffuser). the first one is right next to the lamp (if you remove the lamp, you'll see it). the second is right on the other side of it.

BLACK LINE ALONG RIGHT SIDE OF LETTER SIZE PAPER

Is this and Okidata C5100? And is the stripe vertical up and down on the page? I'm going to assume yes to both of those for the sake of trying to help. Worse case is the fuser unit in the machine is wearing in one spot and thats why the streak is appearing. Also, many color printers require a seperate drum unit or photo conductor unit. These could have a wear spot on them as well. They can fail long befor the change drum light appears. Other than that remove and inspect the black cartridge. If there is a shutter on it, pull back and inspect the two inner rollers. You're looking for any wear spots in a location that corresponds to the streaks on the paper...or an excessive amount of toner leaking from one spot on it. Hope this helps!!

A small dark blob, exactly circular, translucent, fuzzy outline, which is on every pic.

Same problem here too! dark spot and what looks like dust appearing on all pictures. Comes into sharper focus on extreme zoom.

Black Spots all over my copies

There are lots of things that can cause this. Inspect the fuser assembly & verify that there isn't any teflon missing from the upper roller & that the lower roller is clean. The spots can also be caused by a build up of waste toner in the cleaning assembly, causing excess toner to be dropped on the copies as they pass under it. The cleaning assembly would need to be removed & cleaned to correct this. The spots are not always in the same place - but are they the same pattern? A worn drum assembly can cause spots that are usually a repeating pattern but located in different parts of multiple copies. Dirty corona wires can also cause random spots & rewiring the coronas would solve that.
