Question about GE Refrigerators
Two most likely suspects are a bad water intake valve in the back of the unit (most likely) or a bad microswitch at the dispenser (less likely). The valve is actually two valves in one assembly - one for the water dispenser and one for the icemaker. You have to replace the whole unit if either side stops working. It shouldn't be too terribly expensive if you call a tech, or too complex if you're an experienced do-it-yourselfer.
