Error codes.... 10822 An error code I get anytime that I download a file and try to run it.  All are freeware from mac website. Also, I installed World of Warcraft, and when it logs on to get the patches, it says there is already an instance of it installing, and then the patch stops. When attempting to open the downloaded WOW patch, I get the following message: "The operation could not be completed.  An unexpected error occurred (error code -10822)."  I am also not able to drag and drop anything on the system. I tried to reboot and restart the system, but same problem persists.

the same thing has happened with my powerbook G4. I downloaded something from the internet awhile ago. It has been working fine for about 2 and a half months. Starting yesterday, whenever I try and open it, a window pops up that says error code 10822. I also have not been able to drag and drop.

    any solutions?

Apple's definition of the 10822 error is:
kLSServerCommunicationErr -10822
There is a problem communicating with the server process that maintains the Launch >Services database.

hopefully this helps...

Fixing error code 8003 on macbook

Did you modify your Time Machine files in any way using Finder or the command line? This can cause this error. There's a program called Trash It that might be helpful if all you want is to get rid of those files.

I am trying to transfer a file to an external hard drive from a Mac Powerbook G4. I get an error code 8065 and I am unable to copy the file.

8065 refers to a cross-platform error (like between a p/c system and a mac system).
You could try copying your file to a cd and burn the cd to be compatible with pc or mac and then transfer to the other system.

A unknown folder

If you're in Windows, you can just delete the files manually from the USB drive. Just make sure you checked 'Show hidden files' in 'Folder Options' so you can see them. However, that can get annoying fast. So, I recommend you download USBDriveFresher (it's free, no spyware, no viruses, no adware). It can automatically or manually delete those files as soon as you plug-in your USBdrive. You can adjust the settings as you wish, but it's already set to get rid of the MAC junk that you mentioned. See below for more information.

If you're in MacOSX, well, I'm not an expert yet for Macs. However, I believe you can download freeware programs for the Mac to view these files and then delete them. Perhaps Curb 1.0? Never tried it. But it's free and contains no spyware, etc. as guaranteed by Shouldn't hurt to try it.

USBDriveFresher (PC- All WindowsOS-Freeware)

Curb 1.0 (MAC-Freeware)

Well, generally speaking there are a number of reasons that may causing a Mac computer running slow, but commonly two factors: hardware part & system part. For hardware part: I guess it's OK if your Mac is not that old. For system part: there might be a lot of junk files, caches, registry errors... out there which largely slow down any Mac machines. about 80% slow Mac caused by this reason, if so, try cleaning the system from:
