I purchased an ebiblePDA software CD last week and when i tried installing in my laptop, some error is coming in between.
The error showing is ' This application has failed to start because RAPI.dll was not found. Re- installing the application may fix the problem'. I tried re-installing and the same error is showing again and again.
Kindly advise to solve the problem.

Make sure that the procedure of the software you're trying to uninstall is not running, right-click the taskbar and select the "Start Task Manager" option, go to the "Processes" tab and look for the process of the software (To make sure it's the right one, look in the last column to see the Description of the process). Right-click the process and select the "End Process Tree" option and then try uninstalling it. If it doesn't work or the process doesn't show up, try a third-party software to uninstall the software, such as CCleaner, and try it from there. If the problem persists, try restoring your machine to a date previous to the installation of the software. If you cannot do this or there's no restoration point, try by permanently eliminating the folder where the software is installed on. It might still show up in the installed software, but you've already eliminated it from the computer.

No, it is not a hardware error, it is purely software, i would recommend, trying to turn off your network\wireless adapter by switch, and then turning it on after a min or so.

Your motherboard may be failing. Sometimes when motherboards or ram fail they have a problem with dropping parts of files. However it would not hurt to get a new copy of xp pro and try that first.
