My i pod will come on but go right back off. i can't listen, or download songs on it

Using the right software. For apple i pod, i tunes software are specifically recommended to be installed before you can transfer videos.

For the converter.Get a video converter software and convert and the video to the apple i pod format, i think that will work.

For "I Tunes" go here to download :
Download the file to your computer in a folder (ex. Documents). When the file is downloaded you find the file in your folder (ex. Documents) and double click on the file and follow the instructions .

For getting music on it I mean you have to buy the music in the program. I mean also they have some free songs you can download.

First download it and install it (download it to a folder and then double click on the downloaded file)
Search for the songs you want and download them to your hard drive, and listen to them, and if you want to listen to them on your I Pod, just copy them to your I Pod. This program is fully legal and free

You have to download iTunes (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ ) then when you download it open it and go to iTunes store on the left side (you'll see it ) and click it then you just open an account (when ur in the iTunes store on the upper right side you'll see sing in and sign up so click sign up) and then after that u just type in the song in the search section and you'll see a bunch of song names once u find the one u want just click buy song and you'll have it in your library automatically.

No you do not require a router to connect your I pod to the internet.

If you wish to load the songs on the I Pod, you can first look for songs on the internet and save them to your computer.
Then you can connect the I POD to the compuet via the USB cable which you would have received with the I pod.

Please connect the usb cable one end on the I pod and the other to the
the computer. The moment you connect the I POD to the computer, the system will detect the IPOD player. You can then save the copy of songs you have downladed on your I POD player.
You can select the sond saved on your compuet by doing a CTRL+C key and then go to MY COMPUTER> and under the drives section it will show your I POD PLAYER. CLICK ON THE PHILIPS PLAYER TO GO INSIDE SO THAT YOU CAN DO A CTRL+V and copy the songs on the I POD player.

That should do the trick and you shoudl be able to listen to your favourite songs on the move.

You can do this..... click here to download a software that will let you be able to extract songs from your ipod. After you extract the songs drag them onto the new itunes your using and then just sync. You will have all your previous songs and just drag new songs into itunes for more songs

hello blair,I Have my own I-pod so I hope this will re asure you. First I think you should restore your I tunes as long as your brother has your songs too. Then ask him to create a CD of all your songs, which is not hard at all. then take the CD and open I-Tunes. Place the CD into your hard drive and I-Tunes should pick up the CD. Then download the content of the CD onto I-Tunes. You Will Now have all your songs on I-Tunes like before. Now plug in your I-Pod and continue like It's the first time you have pluged in your i-pod! hope this helps! Rosebetts xxx
