Have you tried turning off just the monitor and turning it back on again? Or unplugging the monitor from the back of the tower and plugging it back in again there?

Set off an alarm clock randomly to wake it up :c) Or, post more information and someone can help you.

Your monitor is controlled by the POWER setting on your PC. From the desktop, right click and select properties, then choose settings. Make sure your monitor setting has a long enough time setting that it doesn't go off while you are using it.

Why will emachine 1358g not boot up monitor goes to sleep just after powering up?

There is no video output from your computer, that is why the monitor goes to sleep, check the cable and the video card.

Optiplex 745 monitor goes to sleep randomly

In regards to your issue with your monitor: For a monitor to display "no signal input" there is likely a problem with the monitor making a connection to your input source (yes I know duh). First and easiest thing to fix this is to check your cables going between your computer and monitor, if your computer and monitor start out working and then fail to communicate, there is a good chance that the cable might be coming loose just enough that the connection fails. I might suggest that if you have, as you say another computer, that you try swapping monitors to check where the problem lies.

Hope this helps some.

Monitor goes to sleep when I turn on my computer replaced the monitor replaced the graphic card replaced the cord from the monitor still goes to sleep sometimes it will start but then freezes up then back...

If it works intermittently then it's either a loose monitor data cable, loose monitor power cable, or loose graphics card. When you say it freezes up, I'm thinking most likely your graphics card is loose, make sure you screw it tight to hold it securely. The power must be off in order to be working with a graphics card. Also ground your body's static electricity to a non-painted piece of steel such as a desk to prevent shocking expensive hardware.

My computer monitor keeps shutting off randomly for no reason. It isn't the sleep function I've already checked that and it happens when you are in the middle of using the system. I am running xp

Click Start, click Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, and then click Power Options.

Now you will see Power option Properties.
Now see the Settings for normal power scheme.

Under this Make sure that the options like Turn off monitor should be set on never and not on After 5 mins or 15 mins

After changing the settings hit on the apply button and then click on ok.

Check this link and you will be able to unuderstand more...!

Delay in Monitor display once the system goes in sleep mode

Instead of sleep mode, tyr hibernate. It is generally faster except the whole computer shuts down. When you power back up, you're exactly where you were. Mine takes about 30 seconds.

Monitor randomly goes to sleep

Sounds like it may be a backlight issue. Try using another monitor if possible and see if the same issue occurs. If it does, then it's the backlight in the monitor. If it's not this, it could be as bibleman01 mentioned a software conflict or an issue with the graphics controller failing.

Is this a Software/Config/Hardware Problem ?

hmmm..sounds like a sleep or screen saver conflict...try booting up on Safe mode(F8) on turn on, and then see how that works. Set your screen saver for Never, and see what happens.

You may be hitting a thermal issue with your video circuitry.
