I dunno how but first it worked then i restarted my computer now it does nothing but show the hourglass. I tried the push menu and middle button for 10,20 and 30 seconds. My pc no longer recognizes it. Is there anything I can do besides send it off?

I tried different computers and cords... I ended up opening iTunes
without the iPod and going under Help/Run Diagnostics. I selected to
run diagnostics on just the iPod, an error message came up and then it
worked. I'm not sure HOW it worked, but it did.
try to log out of itunes, and set up your own account, log in each time you connect your ipod, your ipod has it's own serial number, and your computer tries to open up ipod 1 even when ipod 2 is being used.
Usually, all iPods have a WiFi chip imbedded in the device so you have to pay nothing except for your currently active Wireless internet connection. Try checking your modem and making sure it's working for starters. If it is, then go on the iPod and go to settings, then internet connections. Select a valid internet connection and it should automatically connect, given a good signal strength.
