Call 310-953-9028 and GE tech support will walk you through the setup... hit the program or mute key on phone go to handset hit program/mute key to select, scroll down to select registration, hold down the page button from the home base for 5 seconds... then hit program/ mute again. It did not work for me, but the tech support said to charge phones for the night and try the process again tomorrow.

Check any damaged on the antenna, the possible problem was there, that's it can connect to the reciever.

Don't be mad, but you need to check to see if the home base is plugged in first.

My phone keeps saying handset out of range. it will not ring or anything its a house phone.


We have a Panasonic cordless that goes stupid about twice a year. Sometimes we just have to return it to the base and it resets, or sometimes we have to "register" the handset again.

Once it goes stupid, nothing works.

My binatone triple digial cordless phone keeps saying out of range and beeping every few minutes any ideas it driving me mad


It needs to be re-registered to the base, if I knew which Binatone phone you had I could have advised. Either comment to supply the model name or call 0845 345 9677 (Binatone Helpline).

Phone says out of range


If it says out of range ... you will have to move closer to the transceiver. If you once could use your phone from whereever you now find it is out of range, your batteries are nearing the end of their useful life.

Help with MD781 phone problem


on the phone that says, 'out of range' you need to select MENU then scroll down to the option that says REGISTER and select that. Then go to your BASE UNIT and push and hold the PAGE button until the 'bad' phone synch's up again. .... I called into motorola support and they stepped me through this.
