Hi,

Do you mean: sepia, black & white, bluish, reddish?

What camera model is it? I can give you step-by-step directions on certain Panasonic Lumix models.

Or, you can check your manual.

Black and white

Change the color mode to "Black & White". See this page of the user guide.

You might want to consider taking color photos and waiting to convert to black & white until you get them on a computer. Converting on a computer gives you much more control over factors such as contrast and luminescence.

Change Photos from Black and White to Coloured

Unless you want to colorize them by hand, there's no way to add color to black and white photos. Given a black and white photo showing a person in a gray dress, how do you know whether the dress was blue or red or some other color?

Yes, you can change the Color mode of the camera to shoot in sepia or B&W. Refer to page 20 of the user guide to see how to access the color mode and then change the setting:

Nikon D200 / photos coming out magenta somtimes blue

Set it to a manual white balance colour temperature, 5200K being an average one to start testing at. Does this make a difference? If not, then the sensor, RGB lightmetering sensor or exposure board may be at fault. The peripheral area of most sensors is used for white balance metering, which denotes a sensor issue, although if the exposure board isn't reading this information correctly, then it will give varying results. However, Nikon's 420 pixel RGB sensor on the D200 may also be taking WB readings. I'll be talking to Nikon soon, but try manual settings first.

Color to BW

Yes, you can. There are software packages out there that will allow you to edit images in many ways, including turning a color image into a black and white image. Some are commercial software, and some are free. One such free package is called GIMP, and it can be found @ www.gimp.org.

FD73 Photo Quality

I'm guessing, cause i own a F505 and not a FD73......but, I dont even see a use for the F505 "standard" quality setting. It will stay on "FINE" quality always. I've got a HP 882c and it prints just fine. I use HP premium photo paper and the printer setting BEST. Are you using photo paper? Regular paper will bleed the colors around. Take some pictures on FINE and print them out on photo paper w/ printer BEST and compare.
