Could be any number of reasons. Not enough memory, too slow of a cpu, not compatible with your operating system, not the correct hardware, etc.... Check the side of the box that it came in for minimum system requirements and check that against what your computer has and determine what you need to do to upgrade your computer (or downgrade it) to run properly.

Thanks and please don't forget to rate as fixya. Thank you.

Okay so then come back and rate as fixya since my solution included "not compatible with your operating system". Thanks.

When i play my game i cant see the whole screen how do i fix it?

If you are playing pogo games ?

Pogo.com is an online gaming website where you can play well-known games such as Monopoly, Battleship and Scrabble -- along with scores of other board, word, puzzle and arcade games -- in a Web browser window. The games on Pogo are programmed using Adobe Flash, and are viewed in a small box inside the browser. If your computer has a large display, you may find the games difficult to see because of the of the game box. Although you cannot independently adjust the of the Pogo game box, there are several tricks that you can use to make games appear larger on your screen. Magnify the browser window. In Internet Explorer 9, click the gear-shaped button in the upper-right corner of the screen, and click "Zoom" and "Zoom In." Browse in full screen mode. In Internet Explorer 9, press the "F11" key to enter this mode, and press "F11" again to leave it. Lower the screen resolution. In Windows 7, minimize the browser, right-click the desktop and select "Screen Resolution." Click the drop-down menu next to "Resolution," and select a lower resolution than the one currently displayed. Because a lower resolution uses less pixels to display the information on the screen, this has the effect of making the Pogo game box larger. Remember to change the resolution back when you are done playing. Disable the address and status bars in Internet Explorer 9 if a portion of the game window is cut off. Click the gear-shaped button, and then click "Internet Options." Click the "Security" tab, then click the "Custom Level" button. Click the "Enable" radio button next to "Allow websites to open windows without address or status bars," then click "OK" twice. Close and re-open your Pogo game window. Press the "F4" key. Some Pogo games enter full-screen mode when this key is pressed, but many do not. Hope this helps.

CANNOT INSTALL MONOPOLY JR

Please check the back of the packaging for your game and see that your computer meets minimal requirements also older games will not work due to age. If this game predates 2000 you may not be able to play it with out tweaking windows.

We have a windows vista computer and a game which we havent installed yet because we were wondering if it might damage the game or computer because on the minimum requirments it says that the computer must...

the worst that could happen is that the computer may not run the program. try installing the game, your cd (assuming that's the source of the setup files for the game) should not be affected.

after you install the program try to run it as usual by double clicking the icon to run the program if it doesn't run as expected try this.
1. right click the icon you use to run the game.
2. select properties
3. select the compatibility tab and select an appropiate mode. (ex. windows xp service pack 2)

not completely sure but you may also want to try to run the installation/setup program by changing the compatibility mode so you may be able to trick the program into believing the app/game is being installed on a windows xp service pack 2 system increasing your chances to have the installation running properly.

I have windows vista installed on my computer and i need a current indeo codec so that i can install my monopoly game on my computer. thank you

http://www.videohelp.com/tools/SUPER try using this, it may not let you convert it to a playable file, however mplayer, included in super, should let you install. Windows has stopped supporting Indeo back on XP sp1. and Ligos, who owns indeo now, hasnt been doing much for updating Indeo either.
