Question about AudioBahn Car Audio & Video
I have an amp its 1600 rms one channel with built in fan and digital meter however my question is the amp smoked out and now it powers on but no soud comes out i opened it and i noticed 4 transistors that run along the sides are alittle melted and broken due to the heat from burning out the numbers on the side of the small resistors are as follows
it is small square and black has three silver connectors that soder on to the board. Were can wi find this transistor or is there a substitute please help
Sounds like you have fried your output transistors. They can be replaced if u have the patience and know-how. Also check the resistors near the transistors. Some of them may need to b replaced too. I fu replace the transistors and the resisitors are still fried, u run the chance of burning up the new transistors again. I usually just replace both items since it's not that expensive and I'm doing the labor. What have you got 2 lose?
