The picture will come on when you first turn it on but after 15 minutes or so it fades away. The sound still comes out but no picture. Sometimes it will come back on on its own after a while and then go out again. If you turn it back off for 15 minutes or so it usually comes back on. We already bought a new tv and that one works fine so its not the cable box but I would like to put the old tv in my room.

this problem is due to blue video circuit. 1 Please check supply to blue video ckt. 2 check crt base for loose. 3 check loose contact & parts related to blue cathode. 4 blue signal coming from processor to blue video. 5 processor it self. 6 at last if tv is very old than check crt also.(possibility is rear) hope this will help.

ull have to remove the back of the tv cover and try solidering it back

you may have a solder joint or an electronic part that is beginning to fail. have an electronic expert look at it.

well if you really love this set,then i suggest you change all or most of the fast switching diodes,usually 1n4148 Nte519 mainly around the micro,video and abl circuitry.Also alot of capacitors especially the ones around heat sources,eg heat sinks and wirewound and flame proof resistorsI.If you want the service manual for the set,i have over 1000 sharp schematics,i am sure i have that one.Please request it at [email protected]
