My DiMage A200 will not turn on??? The battery is fully charged.

I have the same problem with my DImageA200 camera, wich won't turn on tried several batteries also checked the batteries by try running a small electrical motor MABUCHI 540 HS on them and it did run. So the batteries are not the problem, i then proceeded to dismantle the camera and battery holder thinking it could be oxide/corrosion but it check out and then i checked every component in the power distribution board no sign of fault. I remeber there wasn't any need for power when connecting the camera as a usb flash mem so i went and did that. No response at all from the cameras card reader. It seems that the CPU board is broken. By the way if anyone is thinking of dismantling the camera and haven't done any camera repair before, i advice against it! The flat cables and the component are so beyond imagine small and frail that you most certainly would damage them, i did it because i have experience of serviceing numerous home electronics. So to all that have the same problem, either buy a new camera or send it to a repairshop capable to order replacement components.

Format the cards in the camera. Make sure you download any pictures that might be on the cards first. Use a card reader if necessary.

How to the the standard lens off my konica minolta dimage a200

Sorry, the lens is fixed onto this camera. It's not possible to change it.

BUT there is a solution; you can but a small lens to screw into the front of the existing lens like a filter.

There is one to get better close ups (super macro I s'pose) and another to get better telephoto.

There's a page about them in the hand book somewhere near the back. Gives the Konika part numbres and so on.

How can I get the firmware for utilizing the telephoto converter / wide-angle converter

The firmware for telephoto converter/ wide-angle converter is included in the attached CD-ROM. Please update it if you have DiMAGE series 7i to A1. Please confirm the firmware version and update it if you have DiMAGE A2 and its version is 1.10. DiMAGE A200 users do not need the firmware updating.

No, it is not. But the camera can automatically balance the CCD sensitivity to enable autofocus even in low-light condition.
