Ipad air plug in will not charge. turn off the ipad and plug in ipad turns on but doesn't charge?

Apple support suggests several possibilities. The iPad may not be receiving sufficient power to charge it; some lower powered charging devices are lacking. The charger may not be Apple certified (as being adequate). Test an alternative charger. Or, the port may be dirty or damaged. Remove debris. Try another USB cable. Restart the device. Also, determine whether or not you have the latest ios operating system. If it still does not charge, contact Apple support for service.

How can I delete my data from an iPad 2 whose display is black & unreadable?

Hi David,
I think this will help you please refer to below steps:

  1. Make sure the iPad battery is charged above 20% ( we would recommend at least 40 - 50 %). If you are not sure charge you tablet for at least 30 -40 minutes.
  2. Make sure iTunes is not running on your computer but is ready to be run.
  3. Temporally disable firewalls and other security software to prevent interference with iTunes.
  4. Make sure your tablet is disconnected from the dock or USB data cable that equips the gadget . Nevertheless USB cable must be plugged into your PC or MAC.
  5. Make sure your PC or MAC is awake and its screen saver is turned off.
  6. Simultaneously press and hold down the Wake/Sleep button and the Home button and wait until "slide to power off" screen appears. Don't do anything after its appearing, just keep holding Wake/Sleep and Home buttons until Apple tablet will power off.
  7. Release the Wake/Sleep button once Apple tablet is off , but continue to hold the Home button
  8. Holding the home button, connect the USB data cable to iPad. When you reconnect the USB cable, tablet should power on and you should see a message on your PC/MAC display saying that iTunes has detected an iPad in Recovery Mode
  9. After you detected this message, release the home button and press OK on iTunes pop-up to confirm the restore option.
  10. Do not touch iconic tablet and you computer while iTunes downloads and installs the fresh copy of firmware on your iPad. You will be notified by iTunes when iPad is successfully restored, but... in a while, you will get an message saying that the iPad isn't recognized. Don't panic. This is because all user content on iPad including activation status was erased during restoration.
  11. Disconnect iPad from iTunes ,unplug from computer and turn off.
  12. Turn iPad on and using iTunes activate it on any computer you have. Apple currently allows up to 5 computers to be authorized for each iPad.

My apple ipad is not reponding when iam charging it how do i reset it

Hello,

If you charge your iPad on a power adapter, the iPad should respond while charging, except if your iPad battery is so low the apps need more power to run.

If you charge your iPad on the USB port of your computer, it is normal you cannot use your apps as the iPad is not only in battery charging mode but also in synchronizing mode with iTunes in the computer. You should lose the habit to charge the iPad on the PC and use a dedicated power adapter instead, as dedicated power adapters charge the iPad battery 2 to 4 times faster than the USB port of most computers.
USB port power: 2.5 Watts in general (5 volt x 0.5 A = 2.5 Watts)
iPhone charger: 5 watts
iPad charger: 10 or 12 watts

My i pad will not turn on

First steps: Make sure you're up to date

  1. Verify you have installed the latest version of iTunes.
  2. Verify that you are connecting iPad to your computer using a USB 2.0 port.
  3. Make sure your iPad software is up to date: With your iPad connected to your computer, click "Check for Update" in the Summary section of iTunes.
  4. Charge your battery: Using the USB power adapter that came with iPad, charge iPad for at least 20 minutes before further troubleshooting. If necessary, refer to "Charging the Battery"

Why is my ipad stuck on the itunes symbol?

It may think it's plugged into the computer. Check for lint or pieces of metal caught in the charging port. If there's nothing there, take it to the apple store, I have had an iPhone and iPad lose and twist connector pins inside the port and Apple needed to fix it in the store.

Adding music to iPad

You can add music to the iPad by directly downloading from the iTunes app or by importing your music into iTunes on a computer. Once your music is imported/downloaded into iTunes on a computer, you then just need to sync the music by connecting your iPad to a computer.

How do I charge the iPad battery.

USB hubs typically don't generate the 10 watts necessary to charge an iPad when it's connected to your computer. This basically means you can't use your laptop to recharge your iPad.

Apple recommends finding an AC outlet and using 10-watt power adapter that came with your iPad.
