My wife's nephews are visiting and brought their MP4 player but not the software disk. Can we download family pictures from our PC to the MP4 without the disk?
Hey Wythywndle,
Without knowing the exact model MP4 player you're referring to, I'm not sure that it's possible to provide exact instructions. Many media players however, are able to use a standard drag-and-drop interface, much like an external hard drive. If your player supports this function, you will need to have it connected to your computer in order to transfer files.
To use a drag-and-drop interface, you will need to access the "My Computer" option within most versions of Windows. Open one viewing pane for the directory where you keep the photos you want to transfer, and another for the MP4 player. The player should appear in the "My Computer" menu as an external storage device. Simply click on the files you want to transfer to the player, drag it over the player's icon in the other window, and drop the file into the player.
Please keep in mind that not all media players are able to support this function, and that you may need the software that came with the player to upload any new content. If you're still not sure how to proceed, you may wish to contact the manufacturer directly for more information.
Hope this helps you out.
Sincerely,
Aaron
