Would a hoya Infrared R72 filter tamron 72mm lens

That would depend on the filter.

Since Tamron has never made a lens with a fixed focal length of 72mm, I assume the 72mm is referring to the filter thread. I also assume you mean the Hoya RM72 infrared filter. The "72" in the filter name is a description of the filter and has nothing to do with its physical size. One vendor lists the RM72 filter in sizes ranging from 46mm to 77mm. As long as you get the filter to match the thread on the front of the lens then it will screw right on.

I have IBM Think Pad T-40 when I start up my pc but nothing comes on the screen. I tried using another monitor but was not able to get any signal. What shall i do?

Hi, Try disconnecting the power and take that battery out too for few seconds, then insert the battery while looking at the indecator lights, see if anything blinks, if yes then connect the power cord and turn the laptop on, and if no, you may want to check the AC adapter with a multimeter or if you have or can borrow another one... otherwise there might be a problem with the laptop itself and may need to be taken to repair center... best of luck

Trying to reformat my ibm think pad from safe mode any thoughts on how to do this with out the disc?

Hello.

Often, IBM systems have a partition that restores your system to its original state (factory restore / recovery).

Power off your Thinkpad. Power on and press the F11 key repeatedly when the Thinkpad begins to start up

You should be able to access the partition and the instructions should take you through the process of recover.

Hope this helps.

I have an IBM think pad T40 that does absolutely nothing when I try to turn it on. It's actually my daughters, she sid it was working just fine then she shut it down and when she came back an hour later it...

Try taking the batter out and booting using just the power cord and Vice Versus'. Also when the power is plugged in does the charging light (Battery Indicator) blink or light up? If you know the Power Supply is good, then the Mother Board may have fried. If it's under warranty, take the Hard Drive out and send it in.

IBM think pad t40...the screen stays black. Shows

Are the activity lights blinking like the computer is doing something? If so the monitor may be disconnected from the unit or damaged. If so this is a pc repair issue, and a little tricky to do on your own.

Netvista pc would not start

Hi there.
If you have brought your machine from a different country and it was working there, then chances are you will need a new power supply that is matched to your countries voltage, most countries have either 240v or 130v, you will have to check into this! be careful however as you can blow the motherboard up if you use the wrong voltage.
My advice would be to purchase another power supply from where you live and install that one.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

Computer was working earlier, turned off unit - later tried to turn it on but it won't work

you can try replacing power supply first since its the easiest one and you can return it if its not that.

also you can try removing the power cable and cmos battery for 30 minutes (sometimes this worked on some computers)
