Question about GE Profile Harmony WPGT9360E 4.0 Cu. Ft. King-Size Washer with Stainless Steel Basket
Lately, when I wash I have noticed small pieces of debrie found on clothes, especially when I wash white clothes. I have thoroughly cleaned the drum, dispenser, and the rim around the basket and it still continues. I have also checked and there is nothing on the clothes or in the pockets before washing. Where is this stuff coming from?
This is sometimes caused by grease coming from the drum bearing through a failing seal. If this isn't checked and repaired as necessary, the drum bearing will fail pretty soon and then the machine will make a nasty grinding noise and that will be the end of it. I hope you have some other cause in your case! Do make sure the filter is cleaned and then run the machine on a hot cycle with no clothes in it to give it a really good clean.
Hope this helps. D.
