Unfortunately once the screen is broken if you want to repair it, it might cost as much as a new LCD.
You can give Toshiba a call and see what they say the cost will be.
Here's their Main support number 800-457-7777

Good Luck.

I have a Toshiba L500-1DT. I replaced the broken screen, however now the screen doesn't seem to receiving any power although the computer is on.

This can go wrong in so many way it is hard to detect what may have happened here. Assuming you had CCFL screen (not LED), you could be forgetting to connect the power cable to the inverter. If you had a CCFL and tried to pop an LED replacement, you may have damaged the inverter (that transplant is not that simple). At any rate I would focus your troubleshooting energy on the inverter side and maybe buy a new inverter as a next step (if you have the screen out it is good practice to replace the inverter at the same time-they are cheap). If you tried to do a transplant CCFL-LED you may have damaged the board in the area that supplies power to the inverter, not an easy fix.

Broken screen sony tv from wii

you now have a parts TV, a replacement screen will cost more than the set is worth. I would suggest listing the set on EBay or your local Craigslist as a parts unit. If you get offered $40-$60, take the money and run!

My screen has horizontal lines across half of the screen. I hooked up to a external monitor and it worked fine. What is the problem?

Hi,
It would physically be in the LCD screen of your computer. If the monitor is working fine therefore there is nothing wrong with the video processing output or the drivers in the operating system. It would be in internal crack on the LCD or a loose connection with the LCD screen and the motherboard.
Its best to have your laptop checked by a service technician and dont just disassemble it by yourself to prevent accidents. Worst case is that the LCD needs to be replaced if really found cracked/defective.
Hope this helps.

I accidentally threw the Wii remote at my 46 inch Sony Bravia LCD HDTV, the screen is not damaged on the outside, but is damaged o the inside. is this repairable? how do i find a replacement panel?

how do you ACCIDENTLY THROW a wii at a TV?

were you not using the wrist strap?

well yes new panels are available, but you might want to trade your Wii in and anything else of value to pay for it.

Contact any Sony outlet or even repair centre, even better have them repair it as it is not all that easy.

Wii accident

Sorry, that's not fixable. The display would need to be replaced. Since the display panel is most of the cost of an LCD TV, it's usually almost as expensive to replace the display as it is to replace the set.
