Very easy repair. By dropping the hose gravity takes over allowing the water to run out. The buzzing noise is the propeller on your pump jammed.(Brawires, coins, hairpins) < common causes..
STEP 1:Drop hose down to remove water from machine
STEP 2:Lean machine forward on a 45,rest machine on a chair.
STEP 3:Bottom left of machine is a round black cap, remove the cap(turn anti clockwise)
STEP 4: Put your fingers in the pump and pull out the coins, hairpins etc from pump.
STEP 5:Turn propeller to make sure it turns freely, put the round cap back on then your done.
Locate the pump cover at the bottom, front of w/m. Pry the round cap out from the top with a small screw driver and unscrew the cap anticlockwise. Clean the inside of coins, bits of cloth etc. This may solve your problem.
take the front cover off at the bottom of the machine. There is a filter cap that you unscrew that gets clogged with coins, etc. Put a towel or two down before unscrewing the cap. I never found this in the owners manual
I have an Ariston Margherita AL128 and the same problem happened. The dial keeps on turning and the operation does not finish at all. After skimming through the manual, it occurred to me that it could be the pump that's causing not to drain or spin anymore. Dislodge the white covering infront (just located at the bottom). Once opened, unscrew the black button at the right hand side. Once open, check for blockages like coins, loose items, even lint. This worked for me and saved me $$$!!!! Now my Ariston is back to its superb performance. Do read the manual once in a while, it does help! I lost mine but was able to download a copy from the net.
yes thats your problem, the reason it wont unscrew is because of things caught inside ie coins gunk you will have to take out machine turn on side, there are two sometime four screws at front of machine where black dail is remove these, when machine is on its side you can acess pump from underneath, there is a black rubber hose which goes from drum to pump which is held on with a circlip remove this at pump end you will need a vicegrip, remove all gunk coins ect, refit all back to machine ,,problem solved......the reason dail was turning was because it was looking for progam to release water which it couldnt because of blockage, after tou unblock you will find that black srew on cover on front can be removed(always better to check for blockages every few weeks hopes this helps
