I know the DVD must be finalized but under Functions - Disc Setting the only available option is Format ! Cannot find any options that mention finalize.

I have the same problem.

that's because u r in HDD mode. Change drive select to "dvd" , then "functions" will show: "disc setting" to include, disc name, pick menu, select first play, and Finalize.
