HOW DO I CHANGE TELEPHONE LANGUAGE TO ENGLISH?

Take the following steps to change your language to English.

1. Turn your cell phone on, and press the menu button to begin viewing the menu options of your phone.

2. Scroll through the menu options of your phone until you come to a settings option. Every cell phone has a different basic set up, but they all have "settings" areas, where the basic phone settings are located. One you have found the settings option, select it. The settings option will open a list of basic cell phone functions. Some cell phones have larger groups that are then broken further into smaller ones, and other phones have a bunch of small individual settings options.

3. Look for the option under settings that says system, display, display info, or language, and choose it. Whichever of these options your cell phone has, the outcome will be the same, so don't be discouraged if your cell phone has a slightly different set up than other cell phones.

4. Choose your desired cell phone language from the list and choose it, if your cell phone had a language option directly under settings. If not, then look for the language option under the system, display, or display/info options, and then choose your language from the list it provides

5. Turn your phone off and then back on again, just to ensure that the new language change did take effect, and will remain. Your language settings should now be changed, and you should be viewing all functions of your cell phone in your newly chosen language.

Tip

Here's a tip for ya.....

This is the second time we've replaced this set of three phones. That's right, 3 different phones ( base + 2 extensions ) that have been replaced twice. The same exact problem has come up each time. After about 3 months of use the 4 way button in the middle of the phone stops working but I've found the solution!

Step 1. Remove battery.

Step 2. Place handset(s) in boiling water.

Step 3. Boil for 45 minutes.

Step 4. Remove from boiling water and allow time for it to cool.

Step 5. Place it carefully under the front driver's side tire of your car. Drive forward and backward until fully satisfied.

Step 6. Box up the remains and ship them back to Uniden.

BONUS TIP!!! Don't eat yellow snow

Printer Trouble error message on NEC DTH-16D-1(BK)

SAME PROBLEM:

Hello jlaverty,
Did you ever figure out how to fix this?

We just had a long power outage last night and our phone system wasn't accepting outside calls this morning. We reset it, which fixed the problem after 10 minutes or so of waiting.

The new mystery is why the admin phone is now flashing this "Printer Trouble" error message.

Thanks,
Brian

Droped phone in water

you can take the battery and the back off the device and place in completely submerged in a bag of white rice and leave it in there for 1 to 2 days this will help absorb the moisture, this should fix it if the water did not damage the circut boards if the water damaged the circut boards then the device is fried

Call forward is "not allowed"

This is a "Class of Service " option, in the system programing under class of service look for the option "call forward to external Destination" this needs to be set to allow.

Bluetooth disconnects after 5 minutes

I know this sounds silly, but try having your cell phone more than a couple feet away from the base of the DECT phone. Bluetooth can have issues when they are really close together. I have mine setting about 6ft away without problems.
