Does it have a cable option two, if so install like this, then change to wireless after restarting computer after finishing installing drivers (cd)
Alternatively install drivers with Your old mouse plugged in, then see if it picks it up after - You did get a install cd with the mouse yes? if not check manufacturers website for model
