Sir,
I have taken the harddisk from my friend PC,there it was working properly When it attached to my PC it is not detecting my motherboard, it is going on restarting the PC itself. what could be the problem please.

check the jumper pins behind the harddisk... if u r using parallel connection means change it... anyway it should not restart...
