Question about Ricoh Aficio CL7000 Laser Printer

1 Answer

Misprinting with at least 2 fonts

When using Apple Chancery, the printer will not print double 'f'. Individual 'f's, yes, but not 2 together. Also in Gill Sans, unwanted spaces appear. This is from an eMac. When I print to an Epson inkjet, thye both print fine.

Why does our printer not want to print double t or f together (tt, ff, ti). What is the cause of this and how do we fix it?

This will probably be a Font or Driver issue. Most likely a font. Try a different font such as Times New Roman or Arial just to make sure. If it prints fine then change your default font on whatever document you are printing. If it still does not do this on these two fonts then it may be driver related. Update your driver with the latest one from Brother to see if that cures the problem.

Printing envelopes from stamps.com from the MP tray on a Canon Imageclass 4350d - after printing I get a message asking "use current size". If I say yes it prints again, if I say no it prints again.

This can likely be solved with one of the following solutions.  If these do not work, please feel free to contact me at social(at)stamps.com. Thanks! This can likely be solved using one of the following solutions. If these do not work, please feel free to contact me at social(at)stamps.com.

1) Change the Printer Options - Enable L90 Only

Printer is printing double

Define "double".

Do you mean "bold" fonts, rather than "regular" fonts?

Do you mean not "advancing" the paper, line-by-line, and "overprinting"?

Do you mean "double-sided", rather than "single-sided" ?

Need to make the font larger and more readable

you use ESCPOS commands to enlarge font size, to double the size of the printed font use <2D>!<22> at the start of the print job. the 22 is the XY zoom factor so <36> would be 3 x wide and 6 x high hope this helps
