Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional
I'm using WindowsXP SP2. i use my mobile Nokia N72 as USB modem (Nokia PC Suite) at 460.8kbps connection speed. but when i surf over it it takes time to open even simple sites. although they said it is a broadband connection but then why it is so slow?? the downloading speed is not more than 6kbps on my lucky days... see if u can help me over this ill be very thankful to. also suggest any good "speed increasing" software u prefer..
How to increase mobile internet speed on computer?

More than likely, the 460.8 figure is in kiloBITS per second, which means your downloads measured in kiloBYTES per second will be at a maximum, 57.6, which is still obviously higher than you are getting. One thing to consider is that you might not be in an area that supports 3G. That will affect your speed. Also, on the windows end, you can try this little (free) utility that will optimize your TCP settings in the registry: http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php
this utility is not a "speed optimizer" snake-oil program that just compresses images or something cheesy like that. It was actually mentioned on TechTV.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
