I have a 6.5...top load older refrigerator... I believe it's a Whirlpool ZITFA model, however not sure.
I removed the bottom (glass section) along with the supporting plastic casing (which holds two plastic humidity drawers) so that I could wash them and the side of the frig.
There is a white metal bar...which was attached to some one of those parts... which came out during the cleaning... and I don't know where to place it...
Can you help me please?

Hi Patrick, Looks like you have a drain hole that is plugged up with ice, there is a easy way to fix it, I will refer you to this video that shows you how to clear the drain.
Does this happen say- every 6-8hrs? If so you may find the defrost element has a short, or defrost timer is faulty. Defrost element is located in the freezer compartment, Time located an back of fridge.. Use a qualified person when playing with electrics...Cheers
Ok do this. Boil some water in a pot then use that to defrost the freezer. This is caused by ice build up in the vent that is keeping the cold air from coming into the refrigerator. Make sure it is defrost completel though cause the ice that is built up is mostly inside and can't be seen. That will solve ur problem I guarantee. Then set the temperature to normal. Like half way. This keeps the frost from building up. Believe it or not as refrigerators get a bit older they actually get even colder and therefore frost build up is more likely. Since no refrigeration can be made completely leak proof, small amount of the freon has leaked out older fridge, and this actually cause it to get colder. You don't need a service technician just defrost then set to a lower setting thats it.
Yes, you may have two problems. The seals around the door are defective or the drain to the pan below the refrigerator is blocked or both. I will need you to read a few things that may help you and I am here to help you get this solved. Now because the water is inside the fresh food compartment I believe the drain is blocked in sid the back and rear of the refrigerator. Look at the first link below and see if this applies to you. Then read the second link and ask me questions if you need. Please rate me and Thank You, Sea Breeze
if u find out let me know. when we turn both frig/freez switches off the frig light comes back on flashes to number 6. it still seems cold be like this 2-3 days the food still seems cold. good luck. jax, fl
