Single speed between new tv and old player may be causing latency. Double check specs on the newest component and make sure they are upward compatible.
maybe, sony likes to be connected to sony, all you can do is try it, i doubt it would cause any damage if it doesnt work. its kinda an expensive expeirment if you dont have the cable already
You have a problem indeed. try lowering the tv volume . if the signal is too high on tv it can cause some problem with the sound system if that dosent work then you may have some electronic sound output resistor problem.
optical connection in tv is only input optical connection in receiver is only input will not work.need to connect rca jacks to tv's audio out jacks behind tv to any available input in receiver
I have a Panasonic HT80 dvd system which plays 5 discs, bought in 2000.
If u have the same or similar he way to get the sound through the recorder is to put the audio output phono leads from the tv to the back of the dvd. On the remote (on mine) there is a button for dvd/tv/ext, oput this to tv it should allow the sound to be transferred from the tv set.
