you can contact your service provider or the company the cell is locked 2. request a code. They will ask you several questions to insure the phone is yours. They then will walk you though the steps and give you the code. Some companies have special rules about how long the phone has to be inactive ect. you wont know tell you call. do so from an other phone though,
please rate this has fixya and recommend me if it has been helpful. its very helpful to me.
The phone is locked, but that doesn't matter, IT WILL NOT WORK WITH T-MOBILE!! Or AT&T or any GSM for that matter.
Yes, iDEN phones, the phones used for Nextel, do have a SIM card, but this is a very different SIM and will NOT work with any T-Mobile, AT&T, etc. SIM cards. Even if it were unlocked, that makes no difference. It uses a different technology. NO Sprint or Nextel phone will ever work on T-Mobile. Neither will a Verizon phone.
If you are getting sim locked. Even when you place it in another phone, you need to get it unlocked through your mobile provider. They'll give to you what is called a PUK code. Your phone will show a screen asking for a new pin code. Put in an easy one. It'll ask it again. If you put in a code too many times prior to getting the PUK code, your phone is now a paper weight. Unless you have a nokia, you can call the manufacture for it to be flashed. I would also suggest, since you have a motorola, to download, for FREE motorola phone tools. From www.motorla.com it'll help you sync your info between computer and phone via Bluetooth or usb cable.
