Probably one of two things; either you are using too small of a power wire or you are over driving the amplifer. What gauge power/ground are you using?

I have 2 12 inch kicker rt dual 2 ohm subs. On a kicker cx1200.1 i want to kno how to hook it up to 2ohm to the amp. And if i can add another 10 inch kicker rt 2ohm sub in the future.

Do to the impedance Of your sub u can't run it @2ohms its going to either be @1ohm or 4ohms and your amp isn't 1ohm stable and u will risk damaging your amp. So your only option is to run it @4ohms and on a good note your sub is 100-600 watts RMS and your amp will push 400-500 watts RMS @4ohms. Now if you want to run 2 sub's in the future That amp will work perfect because it pushes 1,200watts RMS @2ohms and to wire your 2 sub's @1ohm just follow the steps in the image below. Hope this helped.25345194-v0hbouy2nvquqteoroa5j5rq-3-0.png

My kicker 12 inch cvr's arent hitting as hard as they should

amps and wiring kits are very optimistic on the output. If you want proper wire, buy some welding cable "0" or "00" guage. That solves the power delivery. Put a 1 Farrad (or more) capacitor near the amp, that solves the surge power issue. Make sure the box is suitable for the subs. Lastly I'd say do some research and find the right amp that can deliver the clean, huge current required to move some serious air!

Kicker 12L5 blew from a kicker zx750.1

MY BEST GUESS FROM WHAT YOU HAVE SAID IS THAT THE BOX WAS TO SMALL. BUT YOU ARE OVERPOWERING THE SUB RUNNING IT AT 2 OHMS ON A 750 WATT AMP WITH A SUB THAT IS ONLY RATED FOR 600. NO MATTER HOW FAR YOU TURN YOUR SETTINGS DOWN, YOUR STILL PUSHING TO MUCH POWER FOR THE SUB TO HANDLE. IT IS ONLY RATED 600 WATTS FOR A REASON. ESPECIALLY IF YOU LISTEN TO MUSIC THAT HAS A REAL LOW END AND THEN A HARD HIT. REMEMBER A HARD HIT WILL SPIKE YOUR AMPS OUTPUT THEREFORE PUSHING MORE WATTAGE TO THE SUB.

2 kicker cvr 12's in prewired kicker box with 1 wire terminal, kicker cx1200.1 amp. Whats the best way to wire this combo?

Well you really can't run both speakers on one term. because you will over heat the amp , unless your amp is rated at twice the capability of your subs , Then if so , Try positive to one sub , then neg. to the other sub , then bridge the remaining positive to the remaining negative terminal , But it is really best to get a two channel amp for your subs !!!

I have a Hyundai accent 2013 with a kicker 2 12"

Alright first suggestion is to get a different amp. Cause for one a mono amp is meant for just one signal (one speaker) also you need to make sure that you get an amp that is powerful enough to run the subs. You need to find out what the RMS of both speakers is. From just a few moments online I found a Kicker 12" Comp. subwoofer has an RMS of 50-150 watts. So you need to find a 2-Channel amp that has at least 300 but you should get one that has at least 400 just to be save. You can find a Dual 2-Channel 400W amp at Walmart for $55 and get the 600W wiring kit for $25. You should just use the inside speakers for mids and highs and allow the subwoofers to run just low frequencies. That way everything will sound correct, and not ruin your subs if the do not have a voice coil in them. It's fairly simple to set up a system with an amp and subs, you just need to make sure you have the right parts.

My system is running hot!!!!!

your subs are the problem, not your amp, your wiring your subs paralelle, means dropping input ohmage, allowing your amp to over heat with minimal load, check the amp specs for running at low ohms, most hifonics amps are rated 2 ohms and higher, some however will run at 1 ohm, only on class b-a amps though.(competition) dropping ohmage will allow the amp to push more power to the voice coils, however the voice coils may not be rated for 1 ohm power, what ohmage are your coils rated at? do you have a min. of 100 amp inline fuse on your 1-0 awg wire? do you have internal fans? you can add mosfets to the amp but if you do so, you'll have to re-program your amps mother board.

Best amp for Kicker Sub

Hello dalex7,

The Kicker 08ZX400.1 would be a great amp for your subwoofer. It will work into a 4ohm load with no problems.

But you can buy an amp with more power, looks better, has a smaller footprint, and cost less than the 400.1. I'd look at the Alpine MRP-M500. Take a look at it here at Crutchfield. The M500 is also easy to install, runs cool, and is very efficient.

Hope this helps.

Kicker amps are good amps, I would weigh the cost of a new one against getting this one repaired and go from there.
