Nokia 770 screen malfunction

After a half year of normal function my Nokia 770 suddenly froze up and get a white screen with a blurred vertical gray lines.When I touch the screen it will make the ticking sound.I tried to take out the battery to reset it but this has no effect.How can I manage this problem?
