The drive may be in failure. I would try another drive to verify. I have had this before.

Apple cd eject

There are a few ways to eject a disk.
Push the Eject button in the upper right corner of the keyboard.
Drag the disk to the trash.
Press Command-E

If the disk is stuck and these methods do not work many Macs have a tiny hole next to the CD slot. Carefully insert a small straightened paperclip straight into the hole and push until the CD pops out.

Holding down the left mouse button during startup also ejects a CD

Straighten a paper clip, find a small hole near the eject button, Insert the clip and push until the CD tray opens. This is an emergency mechanism that comes with all CD drives.

Cd is jammed

What you can do is look for a paper clip and make it into a long pin by straightening it. Then insert it into a small pin hole which you can find on the CD Rom. Push the pin a little hard and you will find your CD Rom Tray opening up about an inch out. Now you can pull the cd tray out and take out your CD. Read more at www.fixpcfreeze.com

I put a cd in my mac and it doesnt read it then it automatically ejects it

This would normally happen if you to put a DVD into CD-ROM drive, however, all MacBooks have a DVD drive so it can't be that.
Does it happen with any other CDs or is it just this one? Does the CD play in any any drive?
I had a music CD that would work in my Mac once but it was an oddilty that one of the record companies was trying to promote. It would work on a PC and in a normal CD player but not in a Mac,

hold the eject button on your keyboard (upper right corner), while shutting down your mac.

If that doesnt work, hold the mouse button down while shutting down your mac.

PowerBook G4 won't eject cd by any means found on apple support

If you can hear that it's trying, it might be getting pinched while trying to eject, especially if something pressed down on the case at that spot. Try gently widening the opening with a flat head screwdriver while you are ejecting the CD. just put the driver in and twist a bit to widen the slot. Also, check to make sure that the fuzzy stuff that brushes off the disk when you insert it - and keeps out dust - hasn't been damaged. If it is partially missing, the missing part may be inside, keeping the CD from ejecting.

No luck

Probably the dvd drive is damaged (boot the computer with a bootable cd and see if it works, if not, change the drive), or it might have weak connection in it's slot, remove it and reinsert it in the laptop, see if it works.
