Question about Microsoft Standard Wireless Optical Mouse
Hi there, a problem has developed with my optical mouse. I've always used it directly on my desk surface, with no mouse mat. However, now it will only move the cursor if the optical mouse is placed on a t-shirt! I've experimented with other surfaces (paper, mouse-mat, etc) and yet only the t-shirt works. What in the name of dabbity-dab is going on, and how can I fix it?
There are fresh batteris in the mouse, so that's not the issue... aaargh
Alright The Optical Mouse works on the "reflection" principle.
If it is only working on the T-shirt,the T-shirt Must allow it to read the Light Reflection with more details compared to the other shiny or smoother surfaces.
so,make sure you use some surface close to the T-shirt's.
and as you have been use that mouse directly on the deck surface, the little LED must have goten Dusted or the plastic arround the LED(light).
Hope that helps...
If the Mouse is in warranty **** any replacement if possible underwarranty.
