Hey there, I used pure silicone spray. You can find them in most DIY/electronic stores.

I think Maplins might sell it.

Have you tried spraying the channels the glass slides in with Silicone spray lubricant? Do that but keep it off any plastic tor trim.

Red pull hubs are stuck so I cannot adjust the rack to a different car. Any suggestions on getting those to loosen up.

I'm having the same problem! Did you ever find a solution? I was thinking of taking the whole rack apart.

Digital camera zoom error

I had this problem with my Fujifilm E900 under warranty, and Fuji replaced the zoom mechanism. Nine months later, this past weekend, the same problem occurred. I appear to have solved it by gently but persistently wiggling the lens into a fully zoomed-out position, applying silicone spray to the lens barrel such that some of it dripped down into the space between the lens and the camera body and between the two parts of the lens barrel, and then repeatedly turning the camera on and off, wiggling the lens barrel, until it began to move freely again. Then I zoomed in and out until the silicone spray appeared to be dry. So far, I've tried zooming it in and out about 50 times in a row, with no problems.

The clue, to me, that this might work is that the spray initially seeme to make the problem worse. That meant it was getting to the gear mechanism. Once the solvent part of the spray dried, it wall worked smoothly.

Power button

If it is the plastic button that is down and won't return, you might try using some silicone lubricant available from hardware or auto parts stores. Silicone is a dielectric so it won't bother the electronics and might free the button.  I wouldn't recommend spraying the pressurized lube into the button recess but rather into the spray can's cap and then using a denuded Q-tip to dab a few drops around the periphery of the button. The carrier of the lubricant may attack plastic but is very volatile so you can let that part evaporate leaving only the silicone.

Camera lense/power

The following blog outlines some repair options for a lens error. They won't work for all cases, but they're worth a try if the camera's no longer under warranty:
