If you want to change your voicemail greeting, go into your voicemail and press 4 on the keypad. I had the same problem. I just reinstalled the hardware manually through the install new hardware module in XP. Once I did that, Skype "saw" the D-Link adapter. 'I went into "add new hardware" clicked "yer, hardware is already installed" then selected the D-Link device that will be listed. You have to have the driver already installed, then let the OS install the hardware as it always does and then you should see the D-Link driver as one of the choices.
This drove me crazy too. I hope this works for all of you. Good Luck.
I have exactly the same problem. Bought it in Belgium and are using it at home. Worked well but the last 8 months always the same message: cannot connect to the internet. I have tried to find an solution on the Belkin Skype knowledge base but did not found anything. Just gave it up and I am not using the phone anymore.
I had the same problem, but good thing I bought three of them. The first one worked right out of the box, the second one wouldn't come up for about two days and the third one took several days before it would turn itself on. My opinion is that the batteries are really flat from being on the shelf for so long before they are sold and have "memorized" that condition.
I went to the Uniden site and their FAQ don't really address much about this product, wish they would expand it somewhat.
Good luck and keep on trying to charge the batteries.
