You can get the usb port at Droid Repair and there is a guide that shows you how to put in the part at Droid Repair Guide.

Purchase a desktop charger for the battery. After charging the battery on the desktop charger you can then put it in your phone and use it. Try eBay for a desktop charger.

Charging port broken

Honestly, even if you could find the part (not likely - tablets are commodity items these days), you would need specialized tools to de-solder the remainder of the old port and solder the new port, and you would risk damaging other components because of the proximity of parts on these small circuit boards. If you want to take it on, research who actually builds the tablet and contact them about parts. A better option might be to find one with a broken screen or some such (check local 'for sale' sites) and try to swap only that part (if the charging port happens to be connected to a smaller 'side' board rather than the main board). Tough one. Good luck.

My droid razr mxt907 won't charge

The first thing I would check is your charger. Sometimes the USB charging head stops working, or the cable between the charging head develops an open circuit and power is not delivered to your phone. I would first try another charger (such as your car charger), or perhaps someone else in the house has a charger, and see if that gets your phone to charge up. If you don't have another charger, try plugging your cable between your computer USB port and your phone to bypass the charging head, and see if that gets your phone to charge.

If not, take it to the local Verizon store and see what they can find out or what your replacement options are. A week ago, Verizon was having open enrollment into their Verizon Protection and Support plan. For $10 a month, I was able to get my Droid Razr Maxx replaced which had an issue with the earphone jack. Since I am grandfathered into an unlimited Data plan, this was the cheapest way to deal with the defect.

Good luck.

My computer does not recognize my Motorola droid when i plug it in. how can i get it to work? I've already tried resetting it to factory settings.

In order for the computer to recognize the Droid, you must "Mount" it.

To do this, first plug in the usb cord to the computer and the droid. Then touch the notification bar on the top of the droid and draw your finger down. Touch "USB connected". A popup screen appears asking you if you want to "Mount". Choose "Mount" and the Droid will appear as another drive on your computer.

Hope that helps.
