Are you hearing yourself back through the headset? If so the other person isn't wearing a headset and the sound from the speakers is going back through their mic. Ask them to put on a headset (even iPod earbuds will work) and the feedback should go away.
The advantage of having a logitech webcam is the support you have. I just launched my logitech toolbar and clicked on the lowest panel to see what help you have with your webcam in Skype - check this out
If you have your speakers turned up to high it will give you feedback causing
distortion and static. Sometimes even awith the speakers turned down low, feedback is possible. I recommend using a headset when videoing. Hope this is of some help. Bud
I read another post that said to go to Logitech itself for up-dates. This I did......downloaded all new drivers, etc. (the disc that comes with the cam must be out of date !). Then when that was done, I went back on Skype and where you do a 'voice test' I was able to this time around to "choose" my webcam - this was not coming up before at all. So in doing that it activated the mic on the webcam and all was OK. We seniors are supposed to be savvy with the forever changing world of electronic devices today! (LOL)
If you are using your speakers and not a headphone to hear the other person it will give you or them feedback. I recommend that both parties use headphones and it will be more enjoyable and you wont have the feedback. Hope this helps. Bud
I had a similar problem, the solution was as simple as not playing your voice through the speakers. The problem sounds like one of feedback. There are companies that sell phones that hook up to your usb port and will not cause this type of problem. Another solution may be lowering the volume on your mic.
you are getting feedback, either because your chat partner has their mic volume or sounnd volume too high which is the common cause of feedback, or if you are using from a notebook ensure that you internal mic is dissabled as they have a mic boost option within the sound settings.
