Turning on

my machine will only turn on my switching the plug on the wall off and on. The machine then goes into loading (loading in bright) after about 30 seconds the loading goes dim for about 10 seconds and then the machine turns off completely and will not turn on with the remote control or the switches on the front panel only by switching it on and off on the wall and then going back to the start. Please can you help with this problem.
