Have you had a maintenance work done to this machine lately.
You gears may be dry. This could damage your blade. It could also be the gear. Have tech look at it. or if you closed to the jersey area I can recommend a tech. I can not walk you through this because it is a big machine and better to be operated by train tech.

Good luck

Hi Alan,'

it is not available, you could find the interlock switch and jump them...cut wires off of switch and twist together, then use electrical tape.

I need a fuse for my ccs5000 achiever shredder. Do you know where one can be purchased?

Radio shack has a good selection. Make sure you match it exactly. Do not put a larger capacity fuse in there. It can burn the circuit board.

Shredder sounds like dry rubbing when in use.

No do not use WD-40.

They make shredder lube. It is a thick silicon type oil. I would just google shredder lube and I'am sure you will find what you need.

Good Luck

Squealing Shredder

you need to spray lubricant down the paper shout. the cutter wheels are dry. They make a shredder oil but you don't need that just a light what oil. wd40 is to heave. If the noise is still there then it is in the gear train and will need to br serviced.
but to much oil will make a build up of dust also it's a catchy 22

Is it on a 20 amp circuit? Check to make sure that it doesn't have a grounding problem or even the plug could be reverse woired.

Noisey Shredder

Have you oiled the blades? When was the last time it was serviced? There is an awful lot of paper shredds inside the unit. Motor bearings need lubrication. Gears need grease, etc. Put about a dozen drops of light oil directly down into the cutter left to right every half inch. I have used vegetable oil in a pinch.
