If I could let me offer you some advice....Go and purchase an inexpensive multi-card reader that accepts xD memory cards. This will do 2 things, one you won't have to use battery life from your camera to empty it of pictures and two, you won't need software to install it on any windows based computer. The computer will recognize it immediately and install a generic driver for it, your computer will simply assign it a new drive letter. You then can use the card reader to transfer music as well as pictures from one computer to another. All you have to do is go to "My Computer" and click on the Icon that represents the card reader. If you are still adamant on using the camera only you will find the necessary drivers and software here:

How do i update my photo shop on a dell 530 inspiron

To download the pictures from the camera you do not need to update the photo shop software ..Either use it like it is ..or ..just download the camera using the windows wizard ..or the software that came with it ..
For most windows..if you have the driver installed for the camera ..in the moment you connect it to the computer ..you will be able to find all the pictures on the memory card ..in the computer folder..under removable storage device ..or in the drive with the camera name or called memory card ..You can just copy paste them from there ..or ..use the windows tasks for downloading pictures..directly ...usually when you connect it..the auto-play mode will kick in and ask you for a action ..the minute it will detect the external memory ..
In case you do not have a driver for it ...you have to get to the support site and download the suitable software..and will work ..If they have non ..it means the camera works with windows without one cause it is already built in windows..and the procedure is the same ..
In sort ..if you have a disk that came with the camera ..insert it and run the installation ..than connect the camera and either use its software to download or make another action ...or just open my computer folder and in there you will find the storage from the camera ..one way or another..depending on how the windows identify it ..
Just give it a try ..and let me know what you have done ....how it is behaving ..and what exactly you need to do ..(internal memory or memory card ...driver disk or no disk ...please let me know all the facts if you do not manage ..)

I need a download cable for pictures for my daughters fuji polka dot digital camera, how do I locate one?

A USB cable should have been included with the camera. If you have misplaced it, take the camera to a Radio Shack, they will have a USB cable for it. Do you have the FinePixViewer software? You may need that too. Download it from Fuji website.

Software problems(?) with a digital camera.

You could try right clicking on finepix viewer and go properties. On the compatibility tab tick the box in "run this program for..." and select xp then go apply and ok and then try it. It might just be a compatibility issue

Downloading photos

Digital cameras have often an USB cable, which you connect between your camera and USB interface at your computer. Turn on the camera and your computer recognize the camera and install it as a drive. You can then transfer your photos from camera to the computer.

I don't know how to download or upload pictures from my Fuji Finepix Z5 camera, I don't have a USB cord for it so I will have to use the memory card. So what do I need, what program do I need to download...

if you have a memory card you can buy a usb card reader for
£5-10, all you do is plug it in to your computer and insert your memory card and it comes up as removable storage, you can then transfer pictures too and from the card and computer you dont need any software as it uses plug and play technology so its a simple case of plugging it in to your computer
hope this helps.
