Almost zero water pressure or hot water from our hand-held Moen shower head model # 3827 CP. Our regular head next to it works fine. Suggestions as to what the problem or solution might be?

Remove the head from the hose and test. If water flow is adequate through the hose, the problem is in the head. Look inside the head where the hose connects for a restriction, perhaps twisted rubber. If the issue might be with clogged jets, try soaking in CLR to remove built up deposits.
Hope this helps, --W/D--

Moen Hand Shower repair

  1. snap the chrome adjuster offd2c6998a-2192-4f5b-9240-6bf56d4f6da0.jpg
  2. start unthreading centre of head. I used a paint scraper to leverage at first. The threads get loose soon to hand loosen.0588438c-31ce-4428-9378-28140fa37adb.jpg
  3. loosen the spray ring using a lever to get threads started. Hand loosen after that. It's got right hand thread so the outer ring will be turning counter clockwise.3e2cc1ab-35f5-4521-a05f-e1167596fb04.jpg
  4. Take flat rubber gasket out of centre of head and take screw out, then pry white nylon part out with tool. I used tweezer.a1f4f121-e0e1-450a-a9b8-8777342a3262.jpg
  5. Clean scraped parts in hot CLR solution or any vinegar will work as well. Reassemble with lubricant so it works like new. Most likely need for disassembly is clogging or a broken "o"-ring.6fff7106-1b7b-4330-a3c6-089ea42233cf.jpg

Just installed a Moen 3867 hand held shower. There is no water coming out of the head. Water flows just fine from the hose without the head attached. Is there a restrictor plate or something I can...

Usually whenever you do any repairs on plumbing, you dislodge calcium from the inner surfaces of teh plumbing. Check to see if ther is a mesh filter in the inlet side of the head. and remove and clean it. otherwise you could remove it and use a vacuum yo try and remove any deposit that may be in it. If that is unsuccessful,
you can always return it, but always remember to open the fawcett and run it before installing the head.
This is an essential part of any plumbing job. Good luck

. If your local store refuse to replace it Moen will gladly do so with no problem.

They are good like that.

Moen T2113 shower faucet no hot water

You need to replace the stem. This will not cost you a dime; call MOEN and tell them the issue, with the model number, and they will send the replacement part. Many people don't know that MOEN is guaranteed for life (to the original owner)......another words, say you are the original owner :) They will not ask any questions. Good luck! PS Also works on any MOEN faucets you may have.

Hot water dribbles thru shower head when turned to hot

Replacing the cartridge should solve the problem, the balancing spool is stuck, replacing it will solve the problem. The valve should look like this http://www.moen.ca/shared/pdf/3170pt.pdf . I have unstuck the spools in the past, soaking it in white vinegar will help to remove build up.
