The water wont drain and the is a clicking noise coming out of the water pump motor

Something may be stuck in the pump impeller causing it to make a clicking or rattling noise. Disconnect power then remove the lower front access panel to access the pump filter and the pump impeller.

Remove the three screws attaching the lower front access panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off the cabinet. You can prop up the bottom front edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access and remove the screws more easily.

Drain the water into a bucket or shallow pan and lay a piece of towel under the pump filter prior to the removal of the filter. Turn the filter knob counterclockwise to remove and clean it. Reach in the pump to check if it is restricted or detached from the pump motor spline. Replace the pump assembly if the impeller is broken or detached.

Noice on the drum and a pin or piece of spring on outside of drum

i aaume that you are guessing that there is a wire/pin on the outside of drum as if you could see it then you would have removed it, the normal things that usally get stuck are items not removed from pockets and the under wire from ladis bras if you can see the ittem using plyers not cutters see if you can encourage the affending item to come out it is important not to use cutters as they may cut the item and then the machine would need to be stripped down to remove unless one of the drum casing fittings can be removed to gain access, this item it allowed in the drum case could travel into the water pump causing more damage

How do i get the spin off the kenmore 80 series washing machine to see if the belt is broken.

This is a direct drive machine. It has a coupler rather than a belt. If it will not agitate or spin, your coupler is bad. You will need to remove the case to get top it. To do so, remove the plastic covers from each end of the console. Now remove the screws from each end that are under the caps. Pull and lift the panel, flip backwards so it's out of your way. Now unplug the wires from the middle and un-clip the clips on each end. Tilt back on the case and lift off. On the bottom you will see the water pump. take the clips off but do not remove hoses. Just push the pump to the right so that you can get to the motor. Remove the screws from the two clips holding the motor on unplug the wires from the right side. Now unclip motor with your hand under it. Turn motor around and you will see one piece of the coupler on the shaft, another piece will be on the transmission and the third piece is black rubber that gos between the other two pieces. This is what you will need to replace. (Do not drive the two pieces on the shaft past flush) I use a 1/2" nut driver to drive the pieces on the shafts. Now you can put machine back together. Your problem is now fixed. Good luck.

I have a top loading kenmore 70 series washer. It

The drain line is probably clogged. Maybe that a sock or other piece of clothing get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. In this case it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump.Remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out. In case it clean there, check the outer tub port- open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, try to remove the clothing through the port.

Kenmore 70 series is leaking water. Could it be the pump?

It depends on WHERE the leak is coming from. If the leak is coming from the FRONT area of the washer, the drain pump or drain hoses are suspect. If the leak is coming from the REAR of the washer, the water inlet hoses, water inlet valve, or dispenser hoses may be suspect. If the leak is coming from under the CENTER portion of the wash tub, the tub seal or wash tub may be suspect.

The first step is to remove the exterior washer case to gain access to view. The following link explains how to replace a water pump (if required) on your washer, but also includes all the steps necessary to access the washer interior:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r397092-replacing_water_pump

Allow the washer to fill about 1/3 of the way and turn it off before unplugging and removing the washer casing. The washer will not run once you disconnect the lid switch connector, so you will need some water in the tub to see where the leak may be coming from.

NOTE: If the problem IS a leaking pump, these pumps are not serviceable and will need to replaced.

If you have questions, or need additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

My top load Kenmore leaks water on the cycle when water is being pumped out of the machine.

The pump is really easy to replace on these. You can access it by using this GUIDE. To verify if it is indeed the pump and not a hose you can run the washer with its case remove.

Kenmore washing machine washes but does not release the water.

If your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably clogged. In many washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If it's in the pump, you need to remove the hoses from the pump and pull the item out.

To remove the sock from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, using needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing through the port.

Sometimes you can't remove the stuck clothing from below. Then you have to remove the agitator, top of the outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. This isn't easy to do--and you may need special tools--so you might be happier getting a qualified appliance repair technician to do the job.

If the drain line isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump. Even if the pump appears to be turning, the internal impeller may be broken. If so, you need to replace the pump.

Washing machine - Need to replace motor cupling on the kenmore 90 series

you have to access the coupling by removing the housing of the machine,

you can tilt it a little bit to the back so that the motor is in your front.
remove the water pump clamps so that you can remove the pump.

unscrew the screws holding the clamps of the motor.( hold the motor tight, it is heavy)
remove the clamps, the motor will fell..

remove the motor and you can see that the coupling is attached to its shaft.

one coupling goes to the shaft of the motor, the other coupling goes to gear box shafting, and the rubber ring is in between the two coupling.

normally, only one coupling is damaged and you can just replace that coupling. you have the other two parts as spare.

i hope this would solve your problem.

tnx 4using fixya,
