Question about Euro-Pro Shark Steam Mop - Gray/ Purple Vacuum

1 Answer

Poor design Our Shark was bought in Dec. This morning my husband started it up and while doing the steps the handle snapped off at the plunger site.. It is sooooo poorly made that it was only attached by a small plastic weld. The design is definately flawed and for the cost of the machine it is disgusting. As far as we can see, there is no repair that can be done.

How do I replace a handle for my Shark Model S3550 120544. I put too much pressure on it cleaning under my bed, it cracked in to places.

Hi,

Most parts for Shark products are available directly from Shark. It is very difficult to obtain them from anywhere else. Parts can be ordered online or by calling Shark (USA) on: 1-800 798-7398

If your steam mop is the one pictured above, this should be the part you require:

http://www.sharkclean.com/cgi-bin/livew/site.w?location=b2c/product.w&product=1012SO&frames=no&target=main&sponsor=000006&frompart=03

($19.95 + shipping)

If you have a different model or you are uncertain whether this is the correct handle, it may be better to call them first.

Hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this message.

Regards,
BElectric

Shark steam mop

I had the same prob and found this site off google looking for the solution.

I went back to my shark and took out all the screws, some don't feel like they were coming out but it came apart. Take a pair of pliers and release the spring clip holding the hose to the heat nozzle. Then pull off the hose. Then take a paper clip, unkink it so it's sort of straight with a curve to go into the hole . Shove it in and out to clean out the hole. I got my fingers blasted with residual steam so you should let it cool first. But I think the steam bursting out helped clean out the hole. Don't throw it away till after you try that..It worked great after that. All the best, Satch

Water and clearen not coming out.

If the modle is an old modle the heater could be blocked,or if it a new modle try taking of the of the handle and ad a small shim to the bottom of the handle plunger to make it a little bit longer ,the plunger might not be reaching the valve,
also unscrew the clear cap which which is on top of the red spinner to see if the white filter under the spinner is clean and free from debris.
when you put the cap back on make sure its not to thigt and the spinner move freely, if the suction is poor make sure the red lint filter in the clean water tank is clean
