Nintendo ds. how do you put little springs in left and right . the right way.

you are probably trying to put the springs on the backing plate but that is not right.
lay the console face down and put the pins in the holes right above the circuit board ( you can put the buttons down on the console and it will show you the proper holes) and then slide the first hole of the button on the pin, put the spring in between the two holes on the button, then slide the button all the way down on the pin and use a small screwdriver to push the spring into the slot that is used to put pressure on the spring.

Broken power switch

Look on the well known auction sites. Some are selling the switch. Ask them if they could also replace it for you. I could do it for you but I'm in Europe, so a little to far

Nintendo ds lite

The switch is broken. This is a common problem if the shell case has been removed or if someone simply pushed way too ******* the power button. A new button can be purchased on ebay for under $10. Some soldering and desoldering will be required. The DS Lite is breakable when taking it apart so be careful. You can also send it to a guy like me for a fee and have it fixed or sell the broken unit to someone like me that fixes them.

Power button loosely slides

Yes. The switch has broken and is replaceable. However I wouldn't recommend you do it unless you've done this before. DS Lites are easy to damage further when taking them apart. It's a great system but is easily broken beyond fixing. Look at all the posts on here from people putting new shells on and now the system won't boot up, broken ribbon cable connectors, etc. If it's under a year old contact Nintendo and they will repair it for free.

My Nintendo microphone

My Nintendo ds lite also would not respond to voices. I have brain age 2 and Zelda. In the Zelda options there is a mic test. This will show a graph bar that measures your voice. Well the mic was not working at all for either game. I simply took out the battery and held the power slide for a couple seconds. Amazingly the mic works now for both games. I do not know if moving the power slide is significant, but on computers to de-static them you remove all power sources(battery and ac adapter) and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
