Sharp Notevision XR-1S projector

Hello - sorry to bother you but you know what you're talking about (and I don't). I saw your earlier reply to someone trying to connect their sky tv to their projector. I've already posted a problem about this but think you may be able to short circuit the answer. At present I'm connecting the sky magic eye (no sky box in my bedroom) to a dvd recorded (which I was told I would need to get a signal) then connecting the dvd to the projector. I can get a picture but can't get any sound. Can't I just connect the sky magic eye connector to the projector? If not, how do I get sound? sorry to bother you
