Radio fuse stops and starts working radio goes on and off may play 5 minutes stay off all daY

Try resetting it by removing the two fuses for 10 minutes. Re-install and try again.

Dust inside the cd player could be causing problems.
You need to try playing a cleaning cd and follow the instructions that come with it. You can also spray compressed air to clean out the cd portion of the stereo. You can also try unplugging the unit for 20 minutes and then plug it back in. Make sure your cds are clean and not too scratched up. If the unit is under a year old it may still be under warranty. If this does not resolve the issue you may have to have the unit professionally repaired. If the unit is not worth repairing you may need to buy another unit.

Disconnect your battery for 5 minutes,then reconnect it,wait 5 minutes for the computer to reset then start it up.GOOD LUCK

Sounds like a loose/bad/corroded speaker output from the stereo.
That's what usually causes an intermittent problem in an otherwise working system.

Auto Zone does not test the alternator under full load so the test result could be borderline.
start the car and turn everything on. If the voltage drops lower than 14.2
replace the alternator.
also the battery could be being drained overnight. to check use a test light by removing a battery terminal and connecting light between battery and cable with car off.
if it lights start be removing fuses.
when the light goes off the problem is with this circuit.
lastly if the light stays on take the wires off the alternator.
if the light goes out replace alternator.

There is a ground strap, goes from frame to cab. normally toward front of cab

Batteries have a life of 1-5 years depending on how they are used. Check ebay for a new set of batteries.

It sounds like a cold soldered joint internally in the radio. My advice is to buy a nice aftermarket radio with an MP3 CD player. MP3 gives you the option to burn music from your computer. In addition, MP3 CDs will hold over 100 songs per CD.
It MIGHT be a poor connection at the power connector on the rear of the radio. You could try pulling out the radio and cleaning the connection before purchasing a new radio.

Hello, I realy dont tink the fuse have anything to with it. teh fuse is only to secure any item been plug wont short due to a bad connection.
