Hi. I also have KM Bizhub 163 and it is connected to print server D-Link DPR-1061. The printer status is paper out. The printer won`t print.

What do I have to do to make the printer work throw the network?

I have just setup DP-300U rev.B1 with my Konica Minolta Bizhub 162, the thing is that it doesn't work with USB port connected (paper out), then I tried connecting Bizhub 162 to LPT port, and it works just fine...

I want to update the firmware on my d-link dp300u print server to version 2.2, how do I do it?

Your type of d-link the highest version is 1.20 which can be downloaded from ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Printserver/dp300U/Firmware/dp300u_firmware_120.bin and updated on your d-link administrator page.

DLINK DP-300U. Desktop shows printer offline, Laptop prints OK.

First thing.. plug printer directly into PC.. does it work? .. if so its is a port setting. If now it is the device config on PC

If Port Setting Issues.. are you going through any other devices on the network or is you firewall blocking the IP.

If device Config issue check to see it is setup up as an IP Port not a normal local port

DP 300U

DP 300U's can get be pretty uncooperative when attached to a different router. One solution is to reset the DP 300U to its factory settings. Use the PS Admin software to do this. (If you lost the PS Admin software, you should be able to download it from the internet.) If the software prompts you for a password and you do not know it, try "SYSXXXX", where XXXX is the last four digits of the MAC address located on the underside of the print server.
After you reset the DP 300U you will need to set it up from scratch, a process which is not particularly intuitive. Refer to your "Quick Install Guide" (download it from D-link's web site if you don't have it anymore).

Configuring a Mac Book Pro laptop with a DP 300U Print Server

I connected my HP5MP to the DP-300U LPT1 port.
I configured my port on the DLink Configuration tab, giving it a name "hp5"
...The default login is at http://192.168.0.10/ user:admin pass:(there is no pass by default)

On my Mac, I go to System Preferences > Print & Fax
Click the + to add a new printer
Select the IP option
Choose the Protocol: Line Printer Daemon - LPD
Type in the Address: 192.168.0.10
Type in the Queue: hp5
Print Using: Generic PostScript Printer or better yet, 'Select a driver to use...'
and find the driver for your HP LaserJet 5MP.
Save it. Works like magic. ;-)

If you change the IP address or password on the DLink, just CYA and write it all down on a sticky note then tape the note under the DLink chassis. There's no reset button on the thing, and if you're o a Mac, you won't necessarily have access to the Windows utility to jack with the DP-300U. So, write it down, kidd-o!

To install hP psc 1315 on the D-link dp-300u

You might try to browse to that disk and see if there are any setup files (usually named setup.exe or install.exe). I've seen some drivers don't need to be installed by an installation program not by the new hardware wizard.
