I cannot figure out how to change settings to make sure after hours, that when someone selects an extension it will go to voicemail. What it has been doing is just ringing and ringing... help! Thanks!

For us i just found this out.

1.Fwd B/NA
2.1 - 1:set-0:cancel
4.200
5.speaker
after 4 rings it goes to voicemail
this works for us.
i hope it works for others too.

turn this feature off
1.hit fwd b/na
2.0:cancel
3.exit
4.exit
should see the normal display then.

By 'Fwd B/NA', blz131356 means:

1. Press the grey button under 'Prog' on the LCD screen.
2. Press the grey button under 'Cfwd' on the LCD screen.
3. Press the grey button under the down arrow on the LCD screen.
4. Press the grey button under the 'B/NA' on the LCD screen.

Hope this clarifies.

Thank you for the help, but my Dterm 80 doesn't have a forward button. I'm assuming that's what you mean by the first step?

Voice Mail

It depends on what type of phone system your terminal is running on. On a NEC 2400 IPX and SV8500 for example it's ASYD sys 1 index 140. A 2000 & key system is different.

NEC 16C Telephone

That would be a call forward no answer case. Ususally this is setup for forwarding you phone to voice mail. Same goes for if you want to ring another phone. Do you know your system access codes? Usually it starts with a * then follows by a number. Good Luck. Jerry

Internal Call "Voice Call" and does not ring

You can toggle each individual phone extension as to whether or not it recieves a "voice" call or a "ring-first" call.

At the extension, press "SPEAKER - 60" it will display the mode. Press the * (asterick) key to toggle between the modes. Then press SPEAKER again to set.

Password

Your phone does not have a password. It sounds like you are asking about voice mail. You will need to locate a programming manual or at least an "administrator" manual for the voice mail system, possibly the phone system itself. Using the phone's part number will not help you in this search. You need to find out what NEC phone system version you have along with possibly what voice mail system/version you have.
